Our Bespoke, Engraved Live Edge Wide Plank Free - Standing House Signs with large posts are handmade with locally-sourced oak from Devon.

- Engraving comes in a standard black but let us know if you would like it painted white.
- Beautifully unique, they feel authentic to their surroundings and make people feel that they have arrived somewhere truely special.
- Completely customisable text, font, colour and size.
- If purchased with legs, the item will arrive in three sections which are easily assembled using the screws and dowels provided. See video for further detail.

Oak Slabs come in
- Lengths of 60 cm / 80 cm / 100 cm / 120cm
- Due to the varying nature of the live edge the height will range from 50 - 80 cm
- Thickness will range from 4 - 6cm
Oak Legs come in a Standard 140 cm x 9 cm x 9 cm
G Spikes - (Ground Spikes)

- Height: 55 cm
The ground spikes allow you to reduce the amount of leg that needs to be buried (usually 20–30 cm). The bottom of the leg sits flush with the ground, allowing the sign to sit above the ground at it’s full height.

Delivery times
Once you're happy with the design, it takes 8-12 working days (depending on the option you choose) to create the product by hand, before being sent out with Parcelforce on a tracked UK shipping service.

Branding
Each product features a tasteful touch of Grain Designs branding, applied as an engraved metal plate or stamp, depending on the item. If you’d prefer this detail to be omitted, please let us know in the personalisation box. See last photo for reference.

About Oak
Wood is a natural material that naturally responds to changes in temperature and humidity by expanding and contracting. While these shifts are typically minor, you may notice small hairline cracks over time—this is a natural characteristic that adds to the wood’s unique charm. Seasonal changes can also cause slight movement in the timber, which is completely normal and expected as part of its aging process.
After Care
Regular care is essential to keep your product in top condition. We recommend treating the wood with Danish oil or a similar timber treatment to nourish and protect it. This helps prevent drying out, discoloration, staining, cracking, and warping, ensuring its longevity and beauty over time.
