Dimensions

  • This unique oak post is made from solid oak.
  • Their maximum height is 140cm, but can be cut shorter if requested.
  • The post is around 8.5cm x 8.5cm in thickness.
  • The arm is 12cm x 60cm, however can be made longer or shorter.

Large Ground Spike - Recommended

Our 70 cm ground spikes make installation easy by reducing how much of the post needs to be buried (typically 20–30 cm), keeping the sign secure while maintaining its full height. They also protect the oak by preventing direct contact with wet ground, improving stability and longevity.

For guidance, refer to our Ultimate Guide and step-by-step video tutorial.

To extend the lifespan of your signage, a 70cm ground spike is ideal. This spike sits flush with the ground, raising the post approximately 30cm above ground level. By keeping the oak post out of direct contact with the soil, it minimizes moisture absorption, which helps to prevent rot and decay. This setup not only enhances durability but also adds extra height to your signage for improved visibility.

After Care

About Oak

Wood is a natural material that naturally responds to changes in temperature and humidity by expanding and contracting. While these shifts are typically minor, you may notice small hairline cracks over time—this is a natural characteristic that adds to the wood’s unique charm. Seasonal changes can also cause slight movement in the timber, which is completely normal and expected as part of its aging process.

After Care

Regular care is essential to keep your product in top condition. We recommend treating the wood with Danish oil or a similar timber treatment to nourish and protect it. This helps prevent drying out, discoloration, staining, cracking, and warping, ensuring its longevity and beauty over time.
